I have been a high school chemistry teacher since 2007 and have enjoyed every minute inside the classroom. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry Education from The College of New Jersey, and a Master of Science in Education from Walden University.

Within the classroom, I am currently teaching the College Prep Chemistry, STEM Chemistry Honors, Chemistry Honors, and Advanced Placement Chemistry courses. Chemistry is a mixture of math and science that requires students to constantly retain information while incorporating new layers of knowledge. Through a variety of activities, peer reviews, lab coursework, and project based learning, I push my students past their capacity to excel. Although the material may be challenging, with high expectations and a safe environment that supports them, they are able to exceed. Just as my students are challenged throughout the year, I am constantly trying to improve on my own teaching practices by collaborating with not only my peers, but also other chemistry teachers from across the country.
