I earned my undergraduate degree at Rowan University, where I built a strong foundation in education and began developing the skills I still carry into my classroom today. From there, I went on to complete my Master’s in Teaching at William Paterson University, which allowed me to deepen my understanding of instructional strategies and curriculum design. Wanting to specialize further, I pursued and received my certification in Special Education from New Jersey City University. This combination of degrees and certifications has equipped me with the knowledge and versatility to support a wide range of learners, particularly those who benefit from additional support and individualized instruction.
I currently teach in Paterson, New Jersey, where I work primarily with 3rd through 5th grade students in special education settings. Many of my students are performing below grade level, so I focus heavily on meeting them where they are, using methods that balance structure with creativity. I incorporate multi-sensory approaches, scaffolded lessons, and plenty of opportunities for practice and reinforcement, all while maintaining an encouraging and patient environment. Over the years, I have taught in both whole-class and small-group settings, as well as one-on-one, which has helped me learn how to adjust my style depending on each student’s needs.
Outside of the classroom, I am looking to extend my skills into tutoring, offering support to students after school or during the summer. I am available for in-person sessions in the 07430 area, and I also offer online tutoring for families who prefer a flexible, virtual option. My goal as a tutor is the same as in my classroom: to help students build confidence, close learning gaps, and find success by tailoring instruction to their unique strengths and challenges.
