I continue my passion for academic subjects I hold a good understanding of through tutoring. My previous experience with tutoring includes tutoring two students (6th grade advanced math and CP high school Geometry) through National Honors Society in high school. I also created a volunteer-based tutoring group during the height of COVID-19 that functioned entirely online, which gave me better experience in navigating online tutoring platforms and methods. I have also tutored my younger sister in math and science since she was in elementary school; this has advanced me in understanding the material in a manner that helps me convey it most effectively to others. Currently, I tutor Advanced Geometry to a high school student. With time, his test grades have jumped from the C range to a 100% on his latest exam on circles!
My students are usually elementary, middle, and high school students (all elementary grades, 6th grade, 10th grade, and 11th grade as of now) looking to achieve better grades or better scores on standardized exams. My personal goals also involve trying to help students learn to understand and digest new materials on their own, ensuring that they perform well on more unpredictable exams. I have been tutoring for 4 years in both in-person and online settings. My tutoring sessions have always been one-on-one as well.
