I have taught at a public high school for two years. In those two years, I taught science and I was a co-teacher in Algebra II and Geometry classes. I worked alongside other magnificent math teachers and have seen multiple teaching styles. I helped the advanced students as well as the struggling students. From what I have seen, those two groups are always changing. I have seen struggling students see a topic and it immediately clicks and I have seen students with an A average start to drop....

From what I have seen, those two groups are always changing. I have seen struggling students see a topic and it immediately clicks and I have seen students with an A average start to drop. Your situation is different than everyone else's and you need a tutor who will take the time to figure out how to best help you.
I have also tutored at Mathnasium for two years and during that time I worked with children of all ages from elementary school to seniors in high school. I worked in-person as well as online and I worked from a 3:1 setting to a 1:1 setting. During this time, I have given students assessments, taught them skills from arithmetic all the way up to calculus, and tested them to make sure they mastered those skills. I have helped kids ditch the calculator, prepare for the SAT, catch up to their classmates and even get ahead of their classmates. The most amazing thing I was able to do was build a rapport with the kids and watch them grow over the years.
I can tutor for the SAT. I have tutored kids preparing for the SAT at Mathnasium. I have also been self-teaching; reading the latest SAT books and analyzing practice problems. In high school, I scored a 1420 (740 Math). I can also tutor chess. I have a USCF rating of 1273 and have participated in multiple tournaments. I can help you learn the rules, study an opening, prepare for your first tournament, and much more.
I have a B.S. in Physics from The College of New Jersey. I have been involved in the chess club and SAT club. I am also a member of Mensa.
