Hello! I’m Nicholas, a Computer Science student at NYU’s College of Arts and Science. Math has always been my strongest subject. I scored a 790 on the SAT Math section and earned 5s on the AP Precalculus, AP Physics 1, and AP Computer Science A, AP Calculus AB, and AP Statistics while maintaining a 4.0+ GPA over all 4 years. I remember what it felt like to be stuck on a problem, and I also remember exactly which explanations finally made it click. That is what I bring to every lesson.
During my Junior and Senior years in high school, I worked as an instructor at Code Ninjas, teaching students ages 5 to 14 year-round. Coding is applied math, so my days are spent breaking logic, variables, and problem solving into small steps my students could follow. I have also tutored high school students one-on-one in AP Computer Science A through UPchieve, and I volunteered with my school’s science department to tutor science classes.
My approach is simple: figure out exactly where a student gets lost, fix that root misunderstanding, and then build confidence through practice until they can solve difficult problems on their own. I don’t just show the steps; I explain why they work, so students can handle questions they have never seen before. For SAT students, I also share the strategies and time-saving tricks that helped me reach a near-perfect math score. Whether you are catching up in Algebra, preparing for a Precalculus test, or aiming for a top SAT score, I will meet you where you are and help you get where you want to be. I’d love to help you reach your goals!
