I have been a substitute teacher for 7 years in the Linwood school system. I teach K-12 history, geography, research, and critical thinking skills. I have my Masters Degree from Stockton University and own my own historical research business. I have devoted much of my time graduate training researching historical documents in National archives.
My love of teaching comes from my love of learning. I want my students to enjoy history as much as I do and to think critically, thoroughly and independently. I will help my student to realize their own potential and to see the results for themselves in their improved test scores.
My goals for each session: 1) to keep the student challenged, but not overwhelmed and 2) to make each session enjoyable for the student
I am generally available for tutoring Monday-Thursday 9am-6pm unless special circumstances are called for. I can travel to students, meet them in a library or online. My base rate in $60/ hour for in-person and $45/ hour for online lessons.
I specialize in tutoring in the areas of history: American, World, Modern European or in specific time periods: WWI, WWII, the Holocaust, and past & present genocides.
I encourage you to contact me if you need help in any area of history. I will help you understand, explore, and research subject matters within all scopes of history.
I look forward to helping you achieve success in your studies!
