My first tutoring job was as a part-time tutor at a local tutoring center in High School. I also had my own academy, where I taught students from underprivileged and underserved communities in NJ how to code, free-of-cost. I created my own lesson plans, and led two cohorts of classes for grades K-8, and gave students comprehensive homework and helped them build innovative projects. That helped me discover my passion for teaching, and I knew I wanted to continue that in college.

To continue my passion for teaching, I began my own tutoring business in college, which I run currently. I have successfully helped students bring their grades up from C's to A's, all while teaching them life skills like organization, time management, and common testing skills. I really like working with students in grades K-8 because I believe that is one of the most crucial periods of a child's education, which plays a huge role in their development. It is important to teach them values that they can later carry on into college and eventually, into their career.
I still remember the tutor I had in middle school, and to me, they were more than just a tutor. They were a role model that I looked up to, and I think that's all it takes. One good tutor. That can make a child truly want to learn. Curiosity can take you places, and that's why I approach each tutoring session with the utmost care, preparation, and clarity. I love working with kids and hope to continue tutoring, possibly in a full-time role in the future! I have been tutoring for 5+ years, and I hope to continue my love for teaching and spreading knowledge.
I am excited about the potential to work with you/your student. I always approach each tutoring session with empathy, and have regular meetings with parents to discuss expectations and learn more about the student's learning style. I am eager to work with parents and students to personalize the experience and help them students make a genuine improvement!
