I graduated from college with a bachelor’s degree in English Literature. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a concentration in 18th-century American Literature. While I was in college, I worked as a tutor in the Writing Center. I tutored students from different backgrounds and disciplines. I always started off by getting to know the students and understanding their learning style. As a tutor, you must understand that everyone learns and receives feedback differently. After I graduated, I still tutored. I tutored different students that were in middle school, high school, and college. My specialty is English and Bible study.
I am currently a pastor, and I teach people in my church. I teach a group as large as 50, and I also do one-on-one work. I also tutor young people in the church who need help with reading and writing. I give them guidance and advice on how to improve their grades in school. I also help adults learn English as their second language. I am passionate about people and helping them achieve their goals. I’ve helped students who were failing English and adults who simply want to learn the language. My teaching and tutoring approach is a warm one that focuses on discovering the needs of the students and aiding them in achieving their goals.
