Hello, I'm Archini!
I graduated magna cum laude with a 3.86 GPA from Rutgers University-New Brunswick. During college, I learned to balance content-heavy science courses with extracurricular commitments, all while working toward my goal of dental school admission. Through strong time management, effective study skills, and focused test preparation, I earned A’s in core prerequisite courses, including Organic Chemistry, Biology, Physiology, and Physics. I also scored a 490/24AA on the Dental Admissions Test.
My college experience showed me that mentorship from TAs, professors, and fellow undergraduates is critical to academic success. These interactions fostered a deep appreciation for supporting students using the knowledge and skills I gained throughout my own journey, especially since I have been in their shoes. Motivated by this, I pursued tutoring experience by working virtually with fifth-grade students from Indianapolis in remedial math, as well as mentoring students in a rural area of Texas on career exploration and study skills. These sessions were conducted in both one-on-one and group settings and lasted the course of an academic year.
In my tutoring, I emphasize active learning over passive approaches. I intentionally design lesson plans that are engaging and informative, pausing to ask thoughtful questions to assess understanding. After guided instruction, I ensure students can work through problem sets under supervision and gradually encourage independence through consistent practice. Because no two students learn the same way, I adapt this approach to each individual’s needs, level of understanding, and concerns.
I hope to apply my experience to supporting pre-dental and college students through DAT preparation, prerequisite coursework tutoring, and mentorship focused on strengthening applications, interview skills, and personal statements.
