Hello! I am a Deaf native ASL signer and a graduate of Gallaudet University with a Bachelor's degree in American Sign Language and a minor in Linguistics.
I have experience teaching and tutoring ASL in both classroom and one-on-one settings. I have taught middle school and high school ASL courses and worked with students of various ages and backgrounds. I also provide private tutoring for beginners, intermediate learners, college students, and individuals who want to improve their conversational ASL skills.
My teaching approach is engaging, structured, and tailored to each student's goals. I assess each student's current skill level and create lessons that focus on building confidence in vocabulary, fingerspelling, receptive and expressive skills, grammar, and Deaf culture. I use interactive activities, guided practice, and real-life communication to help students apply what they learn.
As a Deaf educator, I provide authentic language exposure and cultural perspectives that help students gain a deeper understanding of both American Sign Language and the Deaf community. Whether you are taking an ASL course, preparing for exams, learning for work, or simply interested in ASL, I am committed to helping you succeed.
Online tutoring is available nationwide through Zoom or Google Meet. I look forward to helping you achieve your ASL learning goals!
