Bunker Hill Community College (Business)
I am a trilingual (Catalan, Spanish, and English) native from Spain with over 20 years of experience tutoring Spanish and English in various countries; Spain, the UK, and the US. My approach is holistic and I welcome all ages (kids/teens/adults) and levels. One-on-one, semi-privates, groups up to 8 students, and on-line classes are my specialty. All classes are customized to the student's needs and include conversation, grammar, writing, singing, movement, laughter, and sometimes a tapas restaurant. I am an expert in the financial, business, real estate, medical, and artificial language-ALT vocabulary and conduct translations and live interpretations as well. I also coordinate intensive Spanish courses (Spain/Argentina) and/or home-stays in Spain. My office is located in downtown Jersey City and traveling to students (house/office) is an option too (within 5 miles via public transportation)!

Good introduction covering the basics. Clear structured manner in which sets were introduced.
My first meeting with Toni was very good. Talked for a while so she could get a feel for what I already knew of the language, why I wanted to learn it, etc. As an adult learner, I was concerned about finding the right sort of person to work with, but Toni was a real pleasure. Looking forward to future sessions.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
