My name is Harsh, and I’m currently a senior at Cornell University studying Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence. I’ve always been drawn to problem-solving and enjoy breaking down complex technical concepts into something more intuitive and approachable. Through my coursework and projects, I’ve built a strong foundation in areas like data structures, algorithms, and machine learning, and I love helping others gain confidence in these subjects as well.

I’ve been tutoring for over four years and have also spent five semesters working as a teaching assistant at Cornell. In that role, I led discussion sections, created course materials, and worked closely with students to help them truly understand the material rather than just memorize it. I’ve had the chance to work with over 150 students in both one-on-one and small group settings, and I really enjoy adapting my teaching style to fit how each person learns best. I try to keep sessions interactive and supportive, focusing on building intuition first and then reinforcing it with practice and real examples.

What I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing students grow more confident over time. Many of the students I’ve worked with have gone on to land internships at top tech companies, and it’s been incredibly rewarding to be a small part of that journey. I aim to create a comfortable environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, think critically, and develop skills that will stick with them long after our sessions.

Approved Subjects

Computer Science

Computer Science

I am a Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence major at Cornell University, where I have taken rigorous coursework in programming, data structures, algorithms, operating systems, machine learning, and AI. I have also gained industry experience through software engineering internships at RBC Capital Markets and Capital One, where I applied these concepts to real-world systems. In addition, I have spent five semesters as a teaching assistant for introductory programming courses at Cornell, helping students build strong foundations in coding and problem-solving. This combination of academic depth, industry experience, and extensive teaching has shaped my ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively.
Data Structures

Data Structures

I have extensive experience with data structures through both academic coursework and hands-on teaching as a Teaching Assistant for introductory computer science classes at Cornell University. I specialize in helping students understand core concepts such as arrays, linked lists, trees, graphs, hash tables, and algorithmic complexity, with a focus on building strong problem-solving intuition. Through working with over 160 students, I’ve developed effective strategies to break down complex topics like recursion, dynamic programming, and graph algorithms into clear, manageable steps. My approach emphasizes thinking about data structures as tools for efficient problem solving, enabling students to apply concepts confidently in coding interviews and real-world applications.
Machine Learning/ AI

Machine Learning/ AI

I have strong experience in machine learning and AI through advanced coursework and hands-on projects focused on building practical, real-world systems. I’ve worked on applications involving natural language processing, sentiment analysis, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), with an emphasis on optimizing model performance and efficiency on limited hardware. My experience includes using models from frameworks like Hugging Face, designing end-to-end ML pipelines, and deploying applications with tools like Flask. I focus on helping students understand both the intuition and implementation behind key concepts such as supervised learning, neural networks, and model evaluation, so they can confidently build and apply their own AI solutions.
Python

Python

I have extensive experience in Python through both academic work and real-world projects, including my role as a Teaching Assistant for the introductory Python course at Cornell University. I’ve built and deployed applications using Python for web development, data analysis, and machine learning, working with frameworks and libraries such as Flask, NumPy, and Hugging Face. My experience also includes designing efficient algorithms, writing clean and maintainable code, and guiding students through debugging and problem-solving. I focus on teaching Python as both a practical programming tool and a way to develop strong computational thinking skills.
