I have a strong background in math from my degree in Mechanical Engineering, and I use math regularly in my everyday work in the construction and controls field. Whether it’s estimating projects, working with measurements, or solving technical problems, math is something I apply in real situations, not just on paper. Because of that, I understand how important it is to have a solid foundation in the basics. I am comfortable helping students with subjects like algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and general math, and I enjoy working with middle school and high school students in particular.
My approach to tutoring is pretty straightforward. I focus on explaining things clearly and making sure students actually understand what they are doing, not just memorizing steps. I know from experience that a lot of people struggle with math because it was taught too fast or in a way that did not make sense to them. I take the time to slow things down, break problems into manageable steps, and build confidence along the way. My goal is to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and can steadily improve their skills and grades.
