I hold a BA from NYU Gallatin, where I designed an individualized concentration in The Politics of Hip-Hop Dance. My studies combined coursework in creative writing, gender and sexuality studies, and performance studies, allowing me to explore the intersections of culture, embodiment, and communication. I identify as neurodivergent (autism + ADHD), and my coaching style is informed by both lived experience and over a decade of working with diverse learners in academic and creative settings.
During college, I worked as a private tutor with students ages 10–15, supporting them in writing, reading comprehension, and study habits. After graduating, I served as the first Education Director at the only conservatory for Hip-Hop Dance in the U.S., where I worked for 10 years developing and teaching original coursework. As a professor, I taught students ages 19–40 in writing, cultural and social anthropology, and public speaking, with an emphasis on critical thinking and embodied knowledge.
I’ve also lectured at colleges including NYU Gallatin, SUNY Old Westbury, and Hunter College, and with arts organizations like Lincoln Center and the Asian American Arts Alliance. Internationally, I’ve been invited to speak at global platforms such as the United Nations, Francisco Marroquín University in Guatemala, and MJC du Chemin Vert / Le Sillon in France. My engaging speeches and writing have been featured in The Dance Enthusiast, Asian & Loud, and Dance Perspectives.
Throughout my teaching career, I’ve provided individualized mentorship focused on time management, lifestyle design, and sustainable learning routines. I also support students through detailed editing and feedback on academic and creative writing. My tutoring is grounded in empathy, clarity, and creativity. Whether working with neurodivergent students or anyone seeking an affirming, personalized learning experience, I help learners connect to their own rhythm and succeed on their own terms.
