I believe in creating a learning experience that is both enjoyable and motivating, encouraging students to explore the language further. I understand the challenges that come with learning a new language, especially as a second or third one. That’s why I customize lessons to fit each student’s unique interests, needs, and goals—because we all have different learning styles. I respect these differences and design lesson plans accordingly. I firmly believe that repetition is essential for mastering a language, but it should always be an enjoyable and engaging process.
My lessons cover speaking, listening, reading, and writing, as well as mastering Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji. I teach conversational Japanese in casual, polite, and formal settings while incorporating practical aspects of Japanese life and culture. I also share insights into Japanese perspectives, customs, and trends—both traditional and modern. Additionally, I help students prepare for the JLPT, job interviews, and travel to Japan. I’m here to support you every step of the way in learning Japanese!
In Japanese culture, modesty is highly valued, so this feels a little awkward to say, but if you ask my students what my top qualities are, they’d probably say: Energetic, Knowledgeable about Japanese language and culture, Friendly, Flexible, and Patient. Sorry! I couldn’t keep it to just three. :)
