Hi- I'm Stasya! I graduated with honors from the University of Chicago with a major in Political Science and double minor in Statistics and Eastern European Studies. Before that, I was at Bard High School Early College in New York City. In high school and undergrad I realized I had a passion for teaching and tutoring essay writing. I started by volunteering at my high school's essay editing lab. In college I worked part-time as a tutor for high school students through Crimson Education, a college application tutoring company. I helped students from all over the world to clarify their narratives and applications for top-tier and Ivy League colleges in the United States. I have experience working one-on-one with students of all comfort levels with essay and narrative writing.
My goal in working with students during this process is to develop an individual approach and provide a positive and self-reflective experience in helping them work on their college application essays. Every student is different and half the challenge in crafting a truly stellar application essay is teasing out their unique qualities that would stand out to college admissions. I find that the best approach is often to spend the most substantial amount of time on the ideation part of the essay-writing process. I truly believe that the college application process is a transformationally reflective time in the lives of high school students and that it can be an extremely positive, rather than dreaded, experience.
