Nice to meet you, I'm Marcin!

I graduated from Rutgers with a double major in Physics and Linguistics. I've been tutoring family and friends throughout my education, and continue to help my colleagues learn on the job, both one on one, and through training sessions. Math and Science are my strengths - I scored a perfect 800 on my Math SAT, and 166 (out of 170) on my Quantitative Reasoning portion of the GRE. My secret? A deep understanding of the material, honed into a problem solving intuition. Memorization alone fails you when faced with new problems, or when asked to explain your answer. With understanding and practice, you can tackle any problem you come across.

Having said that, my teaching style is holistic, flexible and open. It relies on clear and open communication. Have a test tomorrow? Let's focus on the subject matter. Struggling with an area? Let's break it down into chewable pieces, and practice different problems. Have some time to learn? Let's find the part of the subject that excites you, and build up your skills for the long term as well as the short.

I continue to be passionate about learning, and continue to self teach myself in subjects I'm interested in (right now, the Korean Language, and Pragmatist Philosophy). I work in tech, mostly web development with JavaScript. I'm a nerdy board game expert, with RPG/DnD experience, and a Grand Strategy gamer. I also have two pet rabbits (they're camera shy, sorry!).
