Knowledgeable and extremely patient tutor
We've been working with John on a weekly basis for nearly two years now, and I honestly can't say enough good things about him. John has a wonderful way of connecting with our son. He's patient, encouraging, and incredibly good at figuring out exactly where he is each week and adjusting the lesson to meet him there. Rather than following a rigid curriculum, he seems to intuitively know when to push, when to review, and how to keep him engaged and motivated. The growth we've seen has been remarkable. Not only have our son's math skills improved dramatically, but his confidence has as well. Math used to be a source of frustration and self-doubt at times, and now he approaches it with so much more confidence and willingness to tackle challenges. As a parent, there's nothing better than seeing your child feel successful and capable. John has played a huge role in that for our son, and we are incredibly grateful. I would wholeheartedly recommend him to any family looking for a thoughtful, skilled, and caring math tutor. For reference, our son is 12 and just finished the 6th grade.

Terrific Tutor
John has been working with my 4th/rising 5th grader son weekly for the past few months. He is always on time and prepared with materials to help my son through schoolwork, or to prepare him for upcoming units, topics, or concepts. He is patient, but he also helps my son to focus and continue working in a gentle way. I appreciate the fact that he focuses on math because that is what we asked of him, but that he’s also able to transition into social studies or ELA whenever my son is having issues with those topics.
