Hello! I'm Teresa, an experienced math teacher and tutor with 10 years of teaching experience. I primarily work with students from Algebra 2 through Calculus 2, as well as students preparing for the SAT.

I believe students learn math best when they understand why something works, rather than simply memorizing formulas or following steps. My goal is to help students develop the understanding and problem-solving skills they can use independently.

Hello! I'm Teresa, an experienced math teacher and tutor with 10 years of teaching experience. I primarily work with students from Algebra 2 through Calculus 2, as well as students preparing for the SAT.

I believe students learn math best when they understand why something works, rather than simply memorizing formulas or following steps. My goal is to help students develop the understanding and problem-solving skills they can use independently.

One of my strengths as a teacher is explaining concepts in multiple ways. If one approach doesn't make sense, I can look at the same problem algebraically, graphically, numerically, visually, or through a different problem-solving strategy. I work to find the explanation that makes the concept click for each student.

I have taught/tutored mathematics at both the secondary and college levels and have worked with students with a wide range of abilities and learning styles. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics with a minor in Engineering Physics from Ramapo College of New Jersey.
