I began my college education at Penn State University as a Astronomy and Astrophysics major before transferring to Indiana University to study pure mathematics. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics this past May with highest distinction due to my 4.0 GPA. I was also awarded the Most Outstanding Mathematics Student Award at the university for 2023-24. My mathematical interests are in abstract algebra and topology, specifically topological groups.

Though young, I already have five years of tutoring experience both in person and online on another platform. Over the hundreds of hours I've spent helping others, I've maintained a 4.9 out of 5 star rating. I've tutored most undergraduate and high school subjects in math, physics, and computer science - these include calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, Newtonian dynamics, electricity and magnetism, Python, and more. My previous students often cite my wealth of knowledge, personability, and flexible approach as reasons for the success they find with me. In my opinion, this stems from my passion for the fields I tutor in and my belief in multimodal learning.

When beginning with a student, I like to first gauge their comfort level, then talk about the concepts we'll be using before showing them an example and, finally, letting them try a similar problem. In this way, the student learns the 'why' and the 'how' which sets them up for success later in their course and in their academic career. After some time together, I'll be able to tweak how long we spend on each of these steps based on what works best for the student.

While I've had success tutoring students as young as 8 years old, I find I'm most comfortable with upper high school level, undergraduate, and adult learners.
