I am an experienced classroom teacher and math tutor. As a certified math teacher, my belief is that every student can learn math. No exceptions. Through my extensive experiences teaching math to a variety of students, I believe that I can help any student who struggles with math. I am an experienced classroom teacher and math tutor. As a certified math teacher, my belief is that every student can learn math. No exceptions. Through my extensive experiences teaching math to a variety of students, I believe that I can help any student who struggles with math. In my experience, I have taught 8th grade math as a classroom teacher in an urban charter school, and tutored private students from grade 7 though college level. Most of my tutoring experiences have been with high school students. I can tutor students in all levels of mathematics, including Pre-Algebra, Algebra I and II, Trigonometry, Geometry, and Pre-Calc. I also tutor college students who are taking remedial math courses.

I hold a teacher's license in New York State and New Jersey.

Please note that I only see students in person at the Brooklyn Public Library (at Grand Army Plaza). Otherwise, I am available to tutor students at all other locations virtually.

As a certified teacher and graduate of NYU's Master Degree program in high school math education, I am passionate about math and math teaching. I have taught Algebra 1 to many students, and have unique strategies to get students to understand the subject matter and therefore improve their performance in school.

Having tutored a number of students in Algebra II, I possess extensive experience in this particular subject. Through my years of tutoring, I was always been able to eliminate the stigma of being afraid of math; I help make my students comfortable and confident in their ability to do math, and therefore achieve their goals.

From my experience, students have the most difficulty understanding calculus conceptually. My goal as a teacher is to help students understand calculus, as well as excel in their grades. I believe that, with my educational background and experiences, that I can help your student learn calculus.

From my vast experiences as a tutor, as well as my experiences as a student teacher for a class in geometry, I feel that I am knowledgeable and able to tutor any student in geometry. In regards to geometry, my goal is to help students understand proofs and develop deeper mathematical thinking.

My goal as a tutor is to help students develop essential skill sets in pre-algebra. These skills are very important because they will carry my students to success when they take algebra I and II.

Having numerous former students studying pre-calculus, I feel that I am prepared to tutor any student in this subject. My goal in this course is to break down the concepts and help students understand each aspect of pre-calculus.
