My name is Chloë Blake Stevenson. I earned an Ed. M. in Foreign Language Education from Rutgers University with Standard Teaching Certification in French (K-12) from the State of New Jersey's Department of Education. My master's thesis focuses on a communicative approach to second language acquisition.

My name is Chloë Blake Stevenson. I earned an Ed. M. in Foreign Language Education from Rutgers University with Standard Teaching Certification in French (K-12) from the State of New Jersey's Department of Education. My master's thesis focuses on a communicative approach to second language acquisition.

Prior to graduate school, I earned a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology from Reed College in Portland, OR. My undergraduate thesis examines the production of gender categories in ritual and narrative amongst the indigenous people of Vanuatu, a former Franco-British colony in the South Pacific.

For the past 15 years, I have taught French to students of all ages, ranging from classes for beginners through the Advanced Placement (AP) level and beyond. I am passionate about the learning and teaching process, and I am eager to share my love of the French language and culture with my students.

In particular, I have worked as a French Teacher at Princeton Charter School, The Lawrenceville School, Rutgers Preparatory School, and Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School.

Currently, I provide tutoring for students who want to improve their performance in French classes at local public and private schools. For example, I help students prepare for a variety of assessments, such as the Advanced Placement (AP) Exam in French Language and Culture, the SAT II Subject Test in French, and the SAT II Subject Test in French with Listening.

In addition, I offer French lessons for adults, including instruction for Francophiles and working professionals.
