Hello, I'm Paige! My journey in teaching and tutoring has been quite fulfilling. For two years, throughout my eleventh and twelfth grades, I served as a tutor for Girls in Med, a nonprofit organization, and tutored two students with differing curricula. In this role, I took on the responsibility of developing and delivering comprehensive course materials, including detailed slides, lecture notes, and quizzes, all meticulously tailored to the Ontario and IB biology curricula. (Biology is my strong suit--as I earned A+'s on every exam in General Biology I and II). Simultaneously, I was deeply involved with my high school's Tutoring Club for two years, where I helped fellow Rutgers Prep students with their coursework in subjects like English, Biology, and Math. Additionally, during the summer of 2023, I had the opportunity to assist middle school students in learning the fundamentals of coding, which was a unique and rewarding experience.
One of the most consistent challenges I encountered was effectively managing a demanding schedule. During these tutoring periods, I was simultaneously navigating the rigors of four AP classes, working a part-time job at Hollister, and undergoing the intensive process of applying to colleges. To handle this, I learned to be incredibly proactive; I always prepared my tutoring materials well in advance, often dedicating significant weekend hours to self-learning curricula and creating resources. As far as my academic success goes, I earned Honors with Distinction 3x (Grades of A- and higher in high school), National English Honors Society (2024), Dean's List 2x (3.5 and higher in college).
