Hello, I'm Ani! I graduated from Harvard University with an honors degree in English (GPA: 3.8), and a minor in Spanish. I'm currently earning a Masters in Creative Writing at the University of Cambridge. Through my academic background, I've recognized the importance of honing one's writing and reading comprehension, as they are essential for articulating one's thoughts and communicating with others. In my tutoring approach, I aim to foster an interest in writing and literature that will encourage students to build strong literacy skills to equip them for academic and professional careers.
I have experience tutoring in English literature, language, and composition independently and for companies. I have also served as a writing instructor for academic papers and college admissions essays (particularly Common App and supplemental essays) and helped students craft essays that earned them acceptances to their top choice schools, including Ivy League universities. Having personally earned high scores in English and Reading for the ACT/SAT (ACT: 36), as well as tutored students for the English, reading, and writing portions of these exams, I enjoy helping students prepare for standardized tests.
I am passionate about aiding students to the best of my ability and, as a result, take the time to tailor my lessons to the individual needs, strengths, and personalities of each student to ensure that lessons are engaging and effective.
