My name is John and I am a former high school teacher and current substitute teacher with Educational Staffing Services. I have extensive experience in education. As previously stated, I was a former high school teacher and am certified in Social Studies. I was also a writing tutor with the Opportunity Scholarships Program at New Jersey City University. During this time, I provided individual instruction to college students to improve their scholastic ability. I also aided students prepare for the Praxis exam. As a high school teacher, I taught US History I, US History II, and World History. I also taught related subjects like sociology. It should be noted that I taught these subjects in an alternative education setting that helped at-risk and disaffected youngsters.
I would like to use this experience to benefit students who might be struggling academically and need extra help and individual attention. I can be reached through the site and will respond promptly.
