My educational background includes a Master’s degree in Special Education from Monmouth University and a Bachelor’s degree in History Education from Rowan University. I currently work as a high school history teacher in a special education classroom, where I support students with different learning needs in understanding course material, staying organized, and building confidence in their academic abilities. I enjoy helping students see that they are capable of success when lessons are taught in a way that makes sense to them, and I work hard to create a positive and supportive learning environment in every session.
Before becoming a high school teacher, I spent two years tutoring and working with students in grades K–6 while completing my Master’s degree. During that time, I worked in elementary special education classrooms and provided one-on-one and small-group support in reading, writing, and mathematics. Those experiences taught me the importance of patience, flexibility, and finding creative ways to explain concepts so that students feel comfortable and engaged. I learned how to meet students where they are academically and adjust my teaching style to fit their individual strengths and challenges.
My approach to tutoring is based on building strong relationships and helping students feel confident in their learning. I believe every student can grow with the right guidance and encouragement, and I tailor each session to match the student’s needs and goals. Whether I am helping a younger student develop basic academic skills or supporting a high school student with history content and assignments, my goal is always the same: to help students understand the material, feel proud of their progress, and enjoy learning again.
