Hi! I’m Yash, a high school senior with over 1.5 years of SAT tutoring experience. I’ve worked with 110+ students in one-on-one sessions, totaling 1,000+ hours of teaching. I scored a perfect 800 in SAT Math and specialize in helping students improve efficiency with confidence and make studying for the SAT a lot more enjoyable.
I mainly work with high school students (sophomores through seniors), and I focus on making sessions engaging and practical rather than just drilling problems. One thing that sets my approach apart is how structured it is. I track every problem a student completes in a detailed spreadsheet, breaking performance down by subtopic and measuring both accuracy and efficiency. This lets me quickly identify patterns in mistakes and focus our time on the areas that will lead to the biggest score increases.
I also teach specific, memorable techniques for recurring SAT question types, along with test-taking strategies that help students move faster and avoid common traps. Every session is tailored to the individual, whether they need to build fundamentals or push for a 1500+.
In addition to SAT tutoring, I’ve done nonprofit work in Bangalore, India, teaching English and writing to children ages 8-13. Even bright students can get distracted in such a busy environment, so I learned how to give the guidance and mentoring they need to succeed. This experience helped me become more patient and clear in how I explain concepts.
