I'm a 24-year-old Nigerian-American born in Baltimore, Maryland who graduated from Calvert Hall College High School as well as Princeton University. I'm in preparation to apply to pharmacy school, but I feel that tutoring and community outreach is a very important aspect of one's life and a duty to those with the drive to learn and succeed. I spent a lot of my college career doing various outreach programs and I would like to get back into it because changing the community can start from one student.
I ask a lot of questions, quiz students multiple times and break down difficult concepts into something basic. I will be a professional and even beyond my tutoring times, I could expand my hours to ensure that the student does well.
I can tutor almost every subject K-12 and some college courses but my specialties are the sciences and social studies. I have a degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and I scored very well on the AP exams for Biology, Chemistry and US History. I also taught a class and prepared a curriculum for two and a half years so I know how to manage a classroom. I also quiz them about prior material during the next session because usually the material is connected.
The reason I would like to tutor is because I understand the difficulty that comes from learning. As a child I struggled to write my own name up until I was five years old and addition and subtraction seemed like calculus to
