Hi, I’m Jade, an experienced math, statistics, and STEM tutor passionate about helping students build confidence, strengthen their problem-solving skills, and develop a deeper understanding of mathematics.

I earned my degree in Mathematics from the University of Chicago in December 2020, graduating with a 3.8 GPA and earning Dean’s List honors for three consecutive years. During my studies, I worked on a statistical analysis project involving social trends, using regression models to identify patterns in demographic data.

I have five years of tutoring experience working with students ranging from middle schoolers to college students and adults returning to school. I specialize in Algebra, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus, Statistics, SAT Math, ACT Math, and other STEM-related subjects. I have also helped students prepare for exams, complete coursework, strengthen foundational skills, and develop more effective problem-solving strategies.

One of my most memorable tutoring experiences was working with a student who was struggling significantly with Algebra 2. By working together consistently and patiently, we identified the concepts that were causing difficulties, built his skills step by step, and helped him successfully pass the course and move on to university. Experiences like this are why I believe that students can make tremendous progress when they have the right guidance and support.

My tutoring approach is student-centered and flexible. I adjust each lesson according to the student's current level, learning style, goals, and time constraints. I focus not only on getting the correct answer, but also on understanding why the solution works and developing strategies that students can apply independently.
