I completed my PhD in Applied Mathematics in 2024 and am now an adjunct professor at the New Jersey Institute of Technology.

I have always been comfortable in front of a classroom. Even since I was an undergrad, I spent hours tutoring my colleagues. Since my background is interdisciplinary, I have broad experience in multiple subjects including mathematics, modeling, and various engineering physics. I have further experience in project-based learning and laboratory instruction by serving twice as a TA for a course in experimental measurement. During my PhD at NJIT I had experience as a TA both for Calculus I and II and once for the math department’s “Teaching in Mathematics” course, required for first year PhD students, delivering training for various research software.

I am committed to creating an inclusive classroom environment where all students, regardless of background or identity, feel valued and supported. I actively seek out opportunities to incorporate diverse perspectives and experiences into my teaching materials and strive to create lesson plans that reflect the cultural diversity of my students. My experience as a laboratory assistant has refined my interpersonal skills to this end. I am comfortable working with amateurs on basics and fundamentals, with the goal to instill within them an enthusiasm for the subject and cultivate the students’ attitude toward critical thinking and work ethic.

Fundamentals are built upon by way of my masters and phd in mathematics. My masters research was all about refrigeration cycles and thermodynamics. Ask me about fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and thermal systems. I served as a tutor and a teaching assistant for these three subjects while I was completing both my bachelors and masters.
