I am recent graduate from Rutgers University with a Bachelors degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. (Magna Cum laude, Cumulative GPA: 3.750. Science GPA 3.72) While attending Rutgers, I worked part time as a tutor at Piscataway High School teaching Biology, Physics, Math and English. Additionally, I have experience working as freelance tutor for Biochemistry, Biology related courses, English, and Technical Writing. Furthermore, while attending Rutgers University I had the opportunity to conduct research for over two and a half years in the areas of molecular biology, biophysics, nanotechnology, and membrane dynamics. I consider myself a very extroverted person who loves to both learn and teach others.
While attending Rutgers University I had the opportunity to conduct research for over two and a half years in the areas of molecular biology, biophysics, nanotechnology, and membrane dynamics. My projects included: studying plant proteins and their molecular interactions with graphene oxide for potential aqueous fuel production, designing bio-hybrid solar cells, synthesizing a hydrophobic drug delivery system using collagen nanodiscs, and investigating the effects of uncoupling agents on aerobic membrane development. In April 2014, I presented my research at the 31st ERPC in Woods Hole MA, for which I was awarded the Baruch 60’ Award of Excellence. Additionally, I was recently published the February edition of The BioPhysical Journal
I have extensive experience in technical and scientific writing as I have composed several undergraduate research theses, symposium posters/presentations, and publications.
I am a friendly, flexible, and responsible tutor, who is dedicated to helping you succeed!
