My professional background includes public accounting and corporate accounting, where I have developed expertise in financial accounting, consolidations, financial reporting, month-end close processes, and Excel. I also have exposure to FP&A and business partnering, giving me a well-rounded understanding of how accounting concepts apply in real-world business settings.
Throughout my career, I have trained and supported colleagues, mentored peers, and helped students and young professionals navigate the accounting recruiting process, prepare for interviews, improve resumes, and build confidence in their technical and professional skills. I understand firsthand how overwhelming accounting courses, internship recruiting, and career decisions can feel, and I enjoy helping others successfully work through those challenges.
My teaching style is patient, practical, and personalized. I believe students learn best when they understand the reasoning behind accounting concepts rather than simply memorizing journal entries or formulas. I tailor each session to the student’s goals, whether that means reviewing coursework, preparing for exams, strengthening Excel skills, polishing a resume, practicing interview questions, or discussing career opportunities in public accounting and industry.
I can assist students with introductory and intermediate accounting topics, financial accounting concepts, Excel fundamentals and advanced functions, resume reviews, interview preparation, internship and full-time recruiting strategies, and general accounting career coaching. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, gain confidence in their abilities, and leave each session feeling more prepared to achieve their academic and professional
