I am a writing and SAT Reading & Writing tutor with over 20 years of experience helping students grow into confident, capable thinkers and communicators. I hold a Master’s in Education (M.S.Ed.) from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Creative Writing from Drexel University, and dual Bachelor’s degrees in English and Psychology from Rowan University. My background as both an educator and a published author uniquely equips me to guide students in crafting powerful, authentic writing — whether they’re preparing for standardized tests or personal essays for college admission.
Throughout my career, I have worked with a wide range of learners, from high school students preparing for the SAT to college undergraduates developing academic and creative writing skills. I’ve taught in college classrooms, tutored one-on-one, and coached first-generation students and English language learners. My approach is individualized, supportive, and rooted in helping students understand both the mechanics and the meaning behind strong writing. I don’t just correct essays — I teach students how to think critically, revise effectively, and express themselves with clarity and confidence.
I believe every student has a unique voice, and my goal is to help them discover it. Whether your child is writing their college essay, tackling the SAT Reading section, or struggling to organize their ideas, I offer a calm, experienced, and encouraging presence that gets results. I’m excited to bring the same strategies I’ve used to help hundreds of students succeed to the Wyzant community.
