I graduated from Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons, Georgetown University, and the University of Pennsylvania. I taught at Georgetown University Medical School, Rutgers University(Organic Chemistry Lab), and the Penn Summer Science Academy(Biochemistry). I also have 100+ hrs of experience tutoring essay writing and have reviewed 150+ college & medical school essays. I'm passionate about helping students write their best personal statements! I help students applying to select colleges, med schools, and students pursuing STEM or pre-med curriculums. My students craft unique, powerful, and authentic personal statements that connect with the reader. I help students uncover the most relevant and compelling personal story and guide the entire writing process. I support ALL stages of writing, from initial brainstorming through topic generation & selection, essay structure, storyboarding & outlining, writing, and deep edits. My approach is to meet students WHEREVER they are in the writing process, so each follows a different path. I'm patient and gentle in my approach, but I believe each student deserves honest and transparent feedback to make writing more persuasive, creative, and strong.
I'm a book author and write for national newspapers, magazines, and blogs. I started coaching essay writing when a colleague asked me to review his daughter's personal statement. I was hooked! I love the creative process and watching my students grow, producing essays they're proud to submit.
