About Denise

Bio

I am a certified medical coder through the American Association of Professional Coffers (AAPC). I have 11 year experience as a coder and conduct individual sessions for students looking to pass the AAPC licensing exam.

If you are a woman and are trying to get healthy and life an authentic life, I can get you to you goal. I have successfully lost 100 pounds and kept it off for over 10 years. If you have a goal to become healthier or to live your better life ...I am your woman!!

I also conduct teaching information sessions for physicians and clinical staff pertaining to billing and coding changes under Medicare guidelines and industry standards. My "day job" is Coding Supervisor at a insurance cost containment company.

Currently, I am a psychology major at Rutgers, Newark and my 4.0 average has allowed me the opportunity to tutor students in the Psych 1 and 2 in addition to The Psychology of Religion and the History of Psychology.

My day-to-day experience as a coding supervisor keeps me current to all changed which occur throughout my industry while my experience as a tutor has helped me to develop strategies to alter my teaching technique to accommodate the learning style of my student.

I have lost 100 pounds over and have kept weight off for more than ten years. During that time I not only have completed numerous 5K races and half marathons, I have trained and assisted women in getting healthy through completing food journals to see and emotional patterns related to their eating patterns. I have successfully trained 110 women to become healthy and completing races either as walkers or runners. My education background in psychology and my past experiences in the healthcare field makes me a qualified candidate in this area.
