Hello! My name is Konama, and I am currently a 3rd year medical student with a strong passion for teaching and mentoring students. I have some tutoring experience, having worked with medical students in subjects such as histology, genetics, pathology, and biochemistry. In undergrad at Hamilton College, I also served as a lab tutor, helping students develop their understanding of core biological concepts in a hands-on environment.
My teaching experience extends beyond higher education. For five years during high school and college, I worked with Community Teamwork, Inc. in a school-age (6-12) program where I helped design and deliver afterschool curriculum for children. This experience taught me how to adapt lessons creatively and meet learners where they are, whether in science, math, or life skills.
I believe that no two students learn the same way. My goal as a tutor is to help each student discover their individual learning style, refine it, and use it to succeed across any subject. Teaching is not just about conveying knowledge—it’s about empowering students to feel confident, capable, and excited about learning.
