I am currently a first-year medical student with a strong foundation in the sciences and a passion for helping students achieve their academic goals. Before medical school, I earned a 515 on the MCAT, including a 131 in Chemical and Physical Foundations and a 130 in Biological and Biochemical Foundations. Preparing for the MCAT taught me the study strategies, critical thinking skills, and test-taking techniques needed to succeed on challenging standardized exams. My background allows me to comprehensively tutor subjects such as biology, chemistry, biochemistry, physiology, anatomy, psychology and other undergrad / master's level science classes.
Teaching has been an important part of my academic journey. As an undergraduate teaching assistant, I worked closely with students to reinforce course material, answer questions, and help them build confidence in concepts they found difficult. In medical school, I currently facilitate small-group learning sessions where I guide classmates through complex medical topics, encourage discussion, and help connect foundational science concepts to clinical applications. These experiences have strengthened my ability to explain difficult material in a clear, approachable way while adapting my teaching style to each student's individual needs.
My tutoring philosophy centers on patience, encouragement, and active learning. I believe every student can succeed with the right guidance and a study plan tailored to their strengths and areas for improvement. Rather than simply giving answers, I focus on helping students understand why concepts work, identify gaps in their knowledge, and develop the critical thinking skills necessary for long-term success. Whether you are preparing for the MCAT, taking undergraduate science courses, or looking to strengthen your understanding of foundational subjects, I am committed to creating a supportive learning environment where you feel comfortable asking questions and making steady progress toward your goals.
