For more than twenty years, I’ve helped students unlock their potential by teaching them how to think, not just what to memorize. I’m a former gifted student turned educator who has spent my career working with a wide range of learners—from highly advanced students to those who need extra support or simply haven’t connected with school yet. As a Congressional Teacher of the Year and an educational entrepreneur, I’ve built my entire approach around critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving across subjects.
My background spans both the arts and mathematics: I hold a master’s degree in educational leadership and a bachelor’s degree in studio art. That combination allows me to approach learning from multiple angles, helping students see patterns, make connections, and develop intellectual confidence. Whether a student is analyzing a math problem, interpreting a piece of art, or tackling a difficult assignment in any subject, my goal is to strengthen the underlying habits of mind that lead to long-term academic success.
Above all, I make learning engaging, accessible, and even fun—especially for learners who may feel frustrated or misunderstood. I’ve spent my career thriving in challenging classroom environments, and I know how to bring out the best in students who need a different kind of connection. Parents often tell me that I help their children develop not only better skills, but a stronger belief in themselves. If your child needs a tutor who can elevate their critical thinking and ignite their curiosity, I’d be excited to work with them.
