I am an M.D. who has completed a one year transitional residency and is now taking some time away from the hospital for my own reasons. I was not a high scoring student when it came to Step 1 and Step 2 CK. I had to retake one of my exams. I understand the struggle when the lessons don't come easy no matter how much time you devote to the question banks. I paid good money to go to review classes and tutoring, and the techniques I learned there have helped me pass my exams. I can help you learn those techniques and foster good test taking habits. Step 2 CS, however, came easy to me. I can help you practice your patient interactions and develop your skills for knowing your common differentials should you need help in that area. As I am new to tutoring, I don't have a set style yet. If you have a learning method you prefer, I can try to incorporate it into the lesson.
A bachelor's in Biology from Rutger's and a Doctorate of Medicine from International American University.
I struggled with the exams myself, so I know what it is like. I went to review classes and received both group and one on one tutoring. The test taking skills I learned are simple enough to master with training and practice. No judgement. I know how it is to spend every waking moment studying and still fail so I can show you how I finally succeeded.
I am willing to meet in person for local lessons provided safety precautions are observed. I can also do online tutoring. Students should provide their own question bank for their level of testing.
