I’m a bilingual (English/Spanish) math educator with over 10 years of experience helping students build confidence and succeed in math. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Education and Mathematics and a Master’s degree in Spanish, along with additional training in curriculum development and differentiated instruction. This background allows me to support students across a wide range of topics—from elementary math to Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus—while also meeting the needs of different learning styles and language levels.
Over the years, I’ve worked with students ages 8–21 in a variety of settings, including public school classrooms, one-on-one tutoring, small groups, and online platforms. I currently teach in a public school and tutor both in person and online. These experiences have helped me become flexible and intentional in my approach, so I can really meet students where they are—whether they’re building foundational skills, keeping up with class, or getting ready for exams.
My teaching style is patient, supportive, and interactive. I like to break things down step by step and focus on helping students understand the “why” behind the math, not just memorize procedures. I also bring in real-life examples and adjust my approach based on how each student learns best. My goal is to create a space where students feel comfortable asking questions, take risks, and ultimately build confidence and independence in their learning.
