As an experienced tutor and instructor with over 20 years of experience in various fields, I am excited to have the opportunity to work with you and help you achieve your academic and personal goals. I am a native Japanese speaker, born in Kyoto. I am an Adjunct Instructor of Japanese at Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey.

I tailor my classes to each student's needs and goals and to make learning proactive and fun! My focus is to help you communicate clearly in Japanese in everyday situations, building competency through conversation, accuracy through tailored exercises, and confidence in a friendly and fun environment. I also am experienced in helping with college and high school homework assignments, test prep, and test reviews. I use textbooks such as Genki I and II, apps, and other materials to supplement learning and make the sessions engaging and interactive. Additionally, I offer cultural studies instruction, guidance for business Japanese, and preparation for JLPT N1 to N5 exams for those planning to work in Japan.
