I have a true love to help others succeed. I have taught various middle school courses through college level. These courses consist of Basic Math, Intermediate Math, College Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, PreCalculus, Calculus, Probability and Statistics, Discrete Analysis, etc. I tutor PSAT/SAT/ACT and have students that have achieved National Merit Scholar Finalist! I also tutor all math portions of the Praxiz tests. Tutoring students has always been something that I enjoy as I see the value of small group dynamics over a classroom environment creating a higher ability to grasp math competencies.

I am dynamic and passionate at driving developmental growth in individuals and encouraging focus. I possess a high level of creativity who engages multi-level, cross-functional audiences in interactive discussions and hands-on learning in mathematical concepts.

I have developed and delivered various training programs throughout my career. I have achieved an 184 score on the Praxis II Middle School Mathematics Test (0069) with pass requirement of 152 as well as a high score on the Praxis II High School Mathematics Test (0061). I completed the First Days of School Fellowship Program offered through Rutgers University for Alternate Route 1A requirements.

Since 2008 I have taught college level mathematics courses and have positively impacted student’s success in the classroom. I engage students to realize math is all about building blocks and that math is actually like riding a bicycle - once you really learn it you never forget how to do it!

Elementary (K-6th)

Elementary (K-6th)

I have taught at the college level since 2006. I have a NJ K-12 certification for math. I am a very patient and understanding instructor who enjoys helping others learn. I am aware of many manipulatives that contribute to various learning methods. I am able to break down math into building blocks of learning to ensure a solid foundation. I have taught K-6th graders and know the right balance of encouragement to build confidence.
GMAT

GMAT

I am an experienced mathematics educator with an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, combining extensive teaching experience with a strong professional background in engineering, manufacturing, supply chain management, logistics, quality systems, programming, and information technology. My background has given me a strong foundation in quantitative reasoning, analytical problem-solving, and business applications. I specialize in helping students understand not only how to solve a problem, but how to recognize the type of problem, determine the appropriate strategy, interpret the question accurately, and approach it efficiently. This combination of advanced quantitative training, business education, and teaching experience provides a strong foundation for helping GMAT students develop the mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills needed for success.
GRE

GRE

I have extensive experience teaching and tutoring mathematics across a broad range of concepts relevant to the GRE, including algebra, functions, equations, ratios, percentages, geometry, data analysis, and quantitative reasoning. My background in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, and Mathematics Education, combined with years of college-level teaching experience, allows me to break down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps. I am particularly skilled at identifying gaps in understanding, teaching efficient problem-solving strategies, and helping students apply mathematical concepts accurately under test conditions.
Praxis

Praxis

I created two Praxis II courses; Middle School Math (00069) and High School Math (00061) and taught them through the Community Professional Program at County College of Morris. I personally took both tests and scored high on both exams. I am well versed in these courses and the course work I developed has allowed over 40 teachers pass the Praxis Exams. My courses were so well received that I had teachers take both to obtain both certifications.
PSAT

PSAT

I am an experienced mathematics educator with extensive experience teaching students at a variety of levels and breaking down challenging concepts into clear, manageable steps. I have strong experience preparing students for standardized tests, including the Digital SAT, with an emphasis on problem-solving strategies, time management, and effective use of the Desmos online calculator. I tailor instruction to each student’s individual needs and focus on building both mathematical skills and the confidence needed to perform successfully on test day.
SAT Math

SAT Math

I have tutored for the SAT for the past 13 years and I have help students reach National Merit levels.
Study Skills

Study Skills

I have experience working with children for increasing Study Skills as a result of coursework taken about Organizational Behaviour and Learning Outcomes. Students learn at different paces as well as different methods and determining the best fit method builds confidence and positive learning experiences for younger age students this in turn allows the student to overcome learning barriers that otherwise are encountered. I am confident that through working with a child student to develop Study Skills I can dramatically improve academic progress.

Lisa M Was a really great tutor for my fifth grade daughter. She made her feel comfortable and I hope to see Her progress by working regularly with Lisa. She seems to understand kids needs and knows how to go about helping them get the most out of themselves. We took a short hiatus after our first lesson but I am planning to schedule some regular sessions right now with Lisa M!
