I have a strong background in standardized testing; I scored a perfect 800 on the SAT Math section, and a 1570 overall (top 1%). I have over 7 years of experience tutoring math: Algebra I, Algebra II, SAT, & ACT.
Currently, I teach SAT/ACT part-time at a learning center in NJ!
For test preparation, I try not to focus solely on the math itself; developing time management skills, identifying content weaknesses, and helping students learn hidden SAT/ACT "tricks" are specialties of mine.
I firmly believe the SAT should not be perceived as "intimidating". Tutoring should not be lecturing. As long as students embrace genuine understanding, the rest falls into place.
