Hi, I'm Darspreet! I am a public health and clinical bioethics graduate, and I received my undergraduate degree in philosophy and allied health studies. I was inspired to combine these two majors after having done an internship in bioethics during my undergraduate years of study. I have always loved both philosophy and medicine, and I realized that bioethics was a unique field that combined both of my passions. In later completing my graduate degree in clinical ethics, I went on to advance my background and obtained a degree in public health management and policy. While my career goals align greatly with this combination of healthcare and ethics, I have always been keen on sharing my knowledge and skills with others.
Since high school, I have been a peer tutor for subjects including: biology, chemistry, algebra, english, writing and french. I worked as a tutor during undergrad as well, where in addition to these subjects, I also taught philosophy and allied health (ie. epidemiology, policy, research methods), and participated in career coaching/career development and advisement. I am a highly experienced writer, with a strong background in philosophical concepts. I also have a lot of experience working with students that need assistance in college admissions, personal statements and essay writing!
I believe that philosophy is all about going deeper into your own personal understanding of morals, values, and ethics. In order to study concepts and ideologies presented by great philosophers of history, one must first come to acknowledge where his/her own conceptual understanding lies. I aim to inspire students to look within, and understand wisdom and reality by extension of themselves.
