I'm currently completing my Master of Arts in History at Rutgers University, where my research focuses on American urban history. I hold a Bachelor's degree in History from Montclair State University. My academic training has given me deep expertise in U.S. history from the colonial period through the present, as well as strong skills in analytical writing, primary source interpretation, and constructing evidence-based arguments — exactly the skills that AP US History, AP World History, and college-level history courses demand.
What I bring to tutoring that most tutors don't is over two decades of professional experience training and mentoring people in high-stakes environments. I've spent my career helping adults learn complex material, identify where they're getting stuck, and build the confidence to perform under pressure. I apply that same approach with students: I listen carefully, figure out where the confusion actually lives (which is often not where the student thinks it is), and then explain the concept in a way that makes it stick. I don't believe in memorizing dates and names without context. I teach students to think historically — to ask why something happened, what caused it, and what changed as a result — because that's what earns high scores on AP exams and produces strong essays.
I tutor AP US History, AP World History, general U.S. and world history at all levels, essay writing and composition, and SAT/ACT reading and writing preparation. I'm particularly effective with students who feel overwhelmed by the volume of material in a history course or who struggle to organize their ideas into clear, persuasive essays. Whether you need help preparing for an AP exam, writing a strong college application essay, or simply learning to write more clearly and argue more effectively, I can help. I'm patient, direct, and genuinely invested in my students' success.

American History

American History

I am completing my Master of Arts in History at Rutgers University, with a focus on twentieth-century American political and urban history, and I hold a Bachelor's degree in History as well. My graduate training means I work with primary sources, historical argumentation, and analytical writing every day — skills that are directly tested on AP US History exams and in college-level coursework. I specialize in helping students move beyond memorization to understand the causes, connections, and consequences that hold American history together, which is what earns strong scores on essays and exams. I tutor all levels from middle school through college survey courses, including AP US History, and I am particularly effective with students who struggle to organize large amounts of material or write clear analytical essays.
European History

European History

I am pursuing a Master of Arts in History at Rutgers University and hold a Bachelor's degree in History, with coursework spanning European history from the early modern period through the twentieth century. My training in historiography and primary source analysis gives me a strong command of the major developments — from the Reformation and Enlightenment through the World Wars, the Cold War, and European integration — and the ability to explain how they connect. I help students build the analytical frameworks that European history courses demand, particularly the ability to trace political, economic, and cultural change across centuries and across borders. I tutor all levels including AP European History, IB History, and college survey courses, with a focus on essay writing, document analysis, and exam preparation.
Social Studies

Social Studies

I am completing my Master of Arts in History at Rutgers University, and in addition to my Bachelor's degree in History I accrued 95 credits in economics and business management, giving me unusually broad coverage across the social studies disciplines — history, government, civics, geography, and economics. My graduate training in research, critical thinking, and analytical writing translates directly to helping students succeed in social studies coursework, where interpreting sources, understanding cause and effect, and forming evidence-based arguments matters more than memorizing facts. I have extensive professional experience mentoring and coaching people through complex material, and I bring that same patience and structured approach to working with middle school and high school students. I am particularly effective at helping students who struggle with reading comprehension in social studies contexts, writing structured responses, and preparing for state assessments and Regents exams.
World History

World History

I am completing a Master of Arts in History at Rutgers University with a Bachelor's degree in History, and my training spans civilizations, cultures, and historical developments across multiple continents and time periods. My graduate work has sharpened my ability to draw connections across regions — how trade networks, religious movements, imperial expansion, and technological change shaped societies from antiquity through the modern era — which is exactly the kind of comparative and cross-cultural thinking that World History courses test. I help students see patterns and make connections rather than treating each civilization as an isolated block of facts to memorize, an approach that is especially effective for AP World History's emphasis on themes, comparison, and causation. I work with students at all levels from middle school through college, with particular strength in essay structure, document-based questions, and exam preparation.
