Hello! I am Cheryl and I have an Associateship and Licentiate Diploma in Violin Performance! I have been playing both the piano and the violin for 14 years. I received the piano and the violin ABRSM (Royal Schools of Music, London, UK) distinction and a music performance Associateship and Licentiate Diploma at Trinity College of Music, London in 2019. Since 2012, I have been receiving numerous awards in overseas music competitions every year, such as the Asia Open Piano Competition, Manhattan International Young Artists Music Festival, and the Hong Kong Youth Barclampory Music Festival.
With over 10 years of orchestral experience, I have been participating in different orchestras, such as the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra (SFSYO), the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra of Hong Kong (MYO), Pro Arte Orchestra of Hong Kong (PAO), the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music’s High Achiever Orchestra (ABRSM), and Hong Kong Youth Symphony Orchestra (HKYSO). I was the concertmaster of the intermediate and advanced orchestra of MYO and my school’s symphony orchestra, as well as the founder and conductor of my school’s string orchestra (MCSSO). I led my orchestra in several concerts and competitions and was placed second out of seventeen other orchestras in Hong Kong’s Youth Music Interflow Competition.
