Hi, I’m Joe-Louis. I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelors in Molecular Biology and a masters in Biotechnology. I am enthusiastic about biology and empowering students to have a strong grasp of the topics they need help with. I strongly believe, from my academic years, that learning is about making topics relatable and memorable, not just about memorizing facts to get through a test or school. Learning is what starts when the classroom door closes.

I strive to use tutoring techniques tailored to the students style of learning, teaching the topics explicitly and making the subject interesting, fun and relatable. Afterwards, I allow the students to work on solutions on their own with my guidance. I applied this to help my colleagues during my academic years to grasp the fundamentals of subjects for test preparation and academic work in general. I’ve also been able to apply this method in my professional work through training of colleagues on the fundamentals of biological subjects that apply on the job and to help them with overall job training. While my focus is in general biology, I can also tutor in Algebra and English grammar.

I want to benefit the students I work with as much as possible, therefore I welcome any resources or suggestions students or parents alike. I am easy to reach and will always provide prompt responses. Please note I require a three hour cancellation notice after a session is scheduled.
