Hi, I'm Kelly P.! With 11 years of teaching experience I'm here to help you with your elementary needs in reading, writing and math!

Whether you need to close an academic gap or just build your confidence when it comes to test taking, I'll be right by your side to help you take the steps to feel more successful!

I have taught first through fifth grades and I'm also a certified special education teacher. My experience with teaching and tutoring provides me with a realm of ideas and techniques that can help your student.

As a student I struggled in math, so when I teach math to my students and help them, I like to find techniques and ways to make math fun and help them truly understand. I understand the struggle so my understanding and patience helps the student, rather than frustrate them even more.

Being a teacher I know the common core; I live it every day. I also know that it is more than knowing just the grade you're teaching, it's knowing what the expectations of the upcoming grade are for the student.
