I am a high school senior with a strong academic foundation in both STEM and the humanities. Throughout high school, I have completed a rigorous course load that includes AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Calculus AB, AP US History, AP English Language, and AP English Literature. I have also taken advanced medical courses such as Anatomy and Physiology, which have deepened my understanding of scientific concepts and their real-world applications. Being immersed in these subjects has not only strengthened my content knowledge, but also taught me how to approach complex material in a clear and structured way.
I was selected as a Schoolhouse SAT tutor for both Math and English, where I work with high school students in small-group settings to improve problem-solving skills, reading comprehension, grammar, and test strategy. In addition to SAT tutoring, I regularly help peers in subjects such as algebra, calculus, biology, chemistry, psychology, and essay writing. My tutoring experience has primarily been one-on-one and in small group environments, where I focus on identifying gaps in understanding and building strong foundations before moving to more advanced material.
My teaching approach centers on clarity, patience, and active practice. I break down difficult concepts step by step, model how to think through problems, and then guide students as they practice independently. I believe students learn best when they understand why something works, not just how to get the answer. As someone who has recently completed these courses and exams myself, I understand the challenges students face and aim to create a supportive environment where they feel confident asking questions and taking academic risks. My goal is always to help students build both skill and confidence so they can succeed independently.
