I have received a Bachelors of Science degree from Montclair State University in May 2012. While finishing my studies at MSU, I have experience student teaching 7th and 8th grade middle school classes and all levels of high school. The subjects I taught range from 7th grade math to Honors Calculus and everything in between.
In addition to my classroom experience, I have tutored a variety of students. I have taught students from all different economic and ethnic backgrounds. From this experience, I believe I am qualified to tutor a variety of students. In my teaching, I challenge the students to think and analyze the content they are receiving. I know that no two students learn the same and patience is very vital in being a teacher.
Outside of my student teaching, I have already had teaching experience inside of a classroom. In the summer of 2011, I was a geometry instructor for the New Jersey City University Upward Bound program. It was in this program that I developed my teaching philosophy of critical thinking.
